Peace Out

Peace Out! Blogging is ending tomorrow so I am making this blog to say good bye. We have had some great times bringing back old memories. I most likely will not miss posting because I was running out of ideas ;) My favorite post was when I told you my top 10 places to travel.  https://jaidastravelblog.blogspot.com/2018/12/top-10-places-to-travel.html . My least favorite post that I made was anything that had to do with memes. I hated it and I thought that it was very boring. I enjoyed having some off topic posts such as "Meet Andrew" if you wanted a quick update its his 12 week birthday today and he still sucks. I will miss you all. Peace out people have fun :)

what to pack for your vacation

One problem that I have every time that I travel is over packing. We always end up over the allowed 50 pounds on the way back. So today I will be telling you my steps to packing without over packing your suitcase. Step one is to lay out all of your clothing options on your bed. Pick outfits that are able to be worn with different things. You can wear the same shirt multiple times if you pack different bottoms that match. Step two is to only pack 1-2 extra outfits. You may think it now but I can promise you that you will not be changing multiple times a day. Step 3 is to roll your clothing not fold. This can prevent wrinkles on different pieces of clothing. Step 4 share products with your family. You guys do not need to bring 2 different shampoos. You can share and save tones of weight! Step 5 chances are if you are debating needing it, ditch it. You most likely wont even remember that you thought about needing it. Step 6. Enjoy your vacation and bring back something for your loved ones. They will love you forever if you thought of them on your vacating and brought them something back.

Jamaica 2018

Hi everyone! Today I will be telling you about my favorite day I experienced in Jamaica 2018. It was on August 23rd 2018 also known as my parents anniversary. We decided to go out to a near by town and do some shopping. I knew that I needed to get a gift for my two neighbor girls. I also really wanted a mug for myself. I found 3 matching mugs in 3 different colors. My dad wanted to get something for my little cousins who look up to him more than anything else. He got Paisley a pink dress and Memphis a yellow shirt because those are their favorite colors. My brother got a blue hat that says Jamaica on it. My mom got some Jamaican jerk spice because she loved the chicken.  We had so much fun shopping that those 2 hours flew by. We went back to the hotel room, changed and went to hit up the pool. My parents had a dinner on the beach for their anniversary. So my brother and I went to the Mexican buffet and hit up the desert bar one more time before heading back to the pool. My dad surprised my mom with 2 wooden turtles for there anniversary and then surprised her one more time with a family of wooden giraffes that she had been eyeing up all week. We had such an amazing day and I cannot wait for another family vacation.

inspiration

This has been my favorite quote for as long as I can remember. My mom once said this to be when I was a little girl. Every since that day this quote has been sitting in the back of my mind. Everyone will make mistakes because it is apart of the journey. If you take the rode less traveled on you will have more mess ups but the reward will be greater. I have made more mistakes than I can count because I went out there and tried something new. Yes, you might now always mess up but messing up happens more often than not. If you are off on your next great adventure good luck and do not let you mistakes bring you down. You got this!

This cannot be only true for me. One of my new years resolutions is to start saving money. You just have to make the backyard the best you can.

At the time it didn't feel like I bought that much at the time. Just remember that paying for the extra weight can be worth everything that you ending up buying.

Meet Andrew

It all started during the summer of 2017. I was in my driveway practicing softball when i stepped out to catch a ball and slipped, twisting my knee in. My kneecap dislocated and I had the worst pain I had ever felt. When I stood up it popped back in but it was very swollen and still hurt with every movement. I went to a doctor, got an mri, and was told nothing was wrong and I would be fine. In February 2018 I went to another doctor in the cities. As soon as she look at my mri her mouth dropped. I had 3 different tears in my knee. I had tore my medial patellar femoral ligament (mpfl), Medical collateral ligament), and my medial minisus. But by then my quad had shut itself down and I had to begin 9 months of physical therapy. The day that my quad reached 93 percent my surgery was scheduled for November 1st 2018. I was very nervous. She was going to clean out the tear in my minucus, give me a new mpfl with my hamstring graft, and repair my mcl with dissoluble stitches. The morning of I was sitting in the hospital and freaking out in the inside. But on the outside I was trying to play it cool in front of my family. The minute I was wheeled into the operating room I started having a panic attack. I was crying like a baby and was trying to delay everything by asking stupid questions like "how do you heat up your blankets" My anesthesiologist knew that I wanted to become a anesthesiologist and he let my knock myself out. I remember asking if this was propofol and how fast to push it in. Then the last thing I remember was him saying keep pushing over and over again. When I woke up I wanted food and I was talking a bunch of random. I took selfies with everyone I saw and then started crying. Apparently I had yet another panic attack about who knows what. I do not remember this in the slightest. I was in a ton of pain and all I wanted was to go home and be with my cat. When I got home that was the first thing I had done. 12 days later my first post-op appointment came. I was told that my hamstring was to inflamed to do a graft so she went to the fridge, took a jar out, disinfected it, and slapped in it. I thought she was joking so I started laughing. But it turns out she was completely serious. I was so freaked out I couldn't handle knowing that there was a dead person in me. My uncal tri8ed lightening the mood that night my naming my dead guy Andrew Bendeclivich. I was still very freaked out about it and didn't like it at the moment. But it turns out Andrew has really grown on me. He will always be there weather I want him there or not. I may have gotten complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) from him but we are going to have to deal with it. In the beginning it was going to be a very long recover. But now with crps it seems like its just going to get longer. I am so thankful for getting my knee fixed but I cannot wait to not have to relay on everyone for the simplest things.

Travel on a budget

Hi everyone. Today I will be blogging about traveling on a budget.  For the first tip, we always book an all inclusive. Its way better because you do not have to pay for every time you eat. All inclusive may also include activities and things for your family to do.                        Image result for beaches resort negril activities

Tip number two is booking our trips with a few weeks in advance. We also book a flight, hotel, and car all in one. We have done them both separate and together but have found it to be cheaper to book together. If your looking for the better deals always price check both options.

My third tip is to not over pack your checked bag. My family always makes the mistake of over packing with leaving just a few pounds to spare. But after purchasing things to bring back the weight will add up. Having over the 50 pound limit will cost you more than you think! I cannot explain to you how many times I have had to wear 3 sweatshirts, wedges, shorts, and then a jean skirt. And on top of all of that stuffing up to the brim.
